Provides access to structure and nomenclature authority files used for the identification of chemical substance cited in National Library of Medicine (NLM) databases. ChemIDplus also provides structure searching and direct links to many biomedical resources at NLM and on the Internet for chemicals of interest. Records may searched by name, synonym, CAS registry number, molecular formula, classification code, locator code, and structure. ChemIDplus is searchable through TOXNET's Toxicology data search.
CINAHL Plus

Provides authoritative coverage of the literature related to nursing and allied health. Virtually all English-language publications are indexed along with the publications of the American Nurses Association and the National League for Nursing.
Selected journals are also indexed in the areas of consumer health, biomedicine, and health sciences librarianship. The database also provides access to health care books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of professional practice, educational software and audiovisual materials, and book chapters, as well as Evidence-Based Care Sheets. Searchable cited references for more than 1,190 journals are also included. Full text material includes nearly 80 journals plus legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments and clinical trials.
CINAHL Plus includes PreCINAHL™ as a companion database for subscribers. PreCINAHL provides current awareness of new journal articles, and includes a rotating file of limited bibliographic information (no subject indexing) that is available to searchers only while these articles are being indexed. This enables users to gain access to article citations that otherwise would not be available. Once the bibliographic records are complete, they are added to the CINAHL database and removed from PreCINAHL.
Clinical Study Results

Contains the results of all controlled clinical trials (mainly Phase III and IV studies), both positive and negative, completed since October 2002 for PhRMA-member company drug products approved in the United States. The database includes both published articles and unpublished study summaries.

A clinical trial (also clinical research) is a research study in human volunteers to answer specific health questions. Interventional trials determine whether experimental treatments or new ways of using known therapies are safe and effective under controlled environments. Observational trials address health issues in large groups of people of populations in natural settings.

DIRLINE contains approximately 10,000 records and focuses primarily on health and biomedicine, although it also provides limited coverage of some other special interests.

Framingham SNP Health Association Resource (SHARe)

In 2007, the Framingham Heart Study (FHS) entered a new phase with the conduct of genotyping for the FHS SHARe (SNP Health Association Resource) project, for which genotyping is conducted using approximately 550,000 SNPs (Affymetrix 500K mapping array plus Affymetrix 50K supplemental array) in over 9,300 subjects from the three generations of subjects (including over 900 families). The SHARe database is housed at NCBI's dbGaP and will contain all 550,000 SNPs as well as SNP and microsatellite genotyping conducted previously in the FHS. The phenotype database will contain a vast array of phenotype information available in all three generations.

PubMed@HML is a customized version of the PubMed database from the National Library of Medicine. It enables Hawaii Medical Library Authorized Users to link directly to electronic journals licensed by the Library or verify print access at the Library through a program called LinkOut. When viewing search results in the ABSTRACT or CITATION display, HML icons indicating "Online Article" or "In the Library" will indicate full-text access is available. Clicking on these icons will access either the full-text of the article through a participating provider licensed by HML and working with the National Library of Medicine's LinkOut program or verify what years HML owns of a journal in their print collection.
